Due to an increasing number of requests recently i decided to share strategies to help you build a business as an amazon affiliate. Fair warning. This post of based on my experiences and actual results only. Everything i share i continue to do and make money. There could be better methods out there so don’t take this as the only blueprint.
Most of my finding will be contrary to what you may have learnt or could be experiencing yourself. BTW – i consistently make high three figures each day and four figures depending on timing.
For those of you who are wondering how to make money.
Here is how i do it as an amazon affiliate.
1. Select a product to promote:
I go directly to amazon to find the product. Just like google they give you a millions dollars of research free of charge.
No wait it is even better than google. They tell you want clients actually buying. These are all buying keywords and real time data.
I go through the detailed steps later on in this thread.
2. Build a web 2.0 property to validate if you can make sales on the product.
My favorite is Hub pages. I take the exact product name and the keyword phrase. Create a hub page on the topic. Use amazon pictures and link directly to amazon.Note- dont use amazon capsules, link directly to amazon from hub
Step3 : Do some basic promotion – usually three to 4 hours only on the lens
get page indexed, build about 30-40 links.
Step 4: Do you have sales? Forget clicks, views,etc. Do you have a sale ?
Step 5: If yes, then start rocking
I do some keyword research on the topic. I try to find what the niche is about and look for broader niche. I know where this is where everyone tells you to start.Why waste time on niche etc, if you not making sales. if i make sale then i do the work. However i am trying new ways – more on those experiments later.Build a quick blog – wordpresss blog. I got Bit#^ slapped by google in September and got my sites de-indexed by google. I had to rework each one of them resubmit and now they rock.
BTW , all the stuff about auto-posting using automated tools etc, that is what got me into trouble in the first place.I am not saying they don’t work, they sound great in theory but the real question is are you making money from it and does google accept it or slaps you down? It used to work awesome a year ago. now it killed my amazon business for a while.For me, it did not work. Now i focus on do the right things and building a real amazon business. More on that later.
Work on my wordpress, make money first, build list second, build back links, small seo stuff.Note – only if product is selling first. Why do all this work when product not even selling
Step 6 – Decide if I want to go into it for the long term or not as an amazon affiliate.
Fair disclosure here. I made money consistently during peak season – three figures a day and sometimes 4. I have never really pushed this hard off peak season, since i focus on other affiliate products However next year i am going to be more consistent and find long term niches to focus on all year around, I have already started and keep you updated with all the real live experiments on this.
If going well and make money then i go full out, banner ads (cheap and awesome and seo stuff) – Big fan of Kyle Terry.
Step 7- rinse and repeat.
Obviously there is a ton more details and shortcuts to really making money with amazon.Now that i am making money i am working on outsourcing a lot it.

Why should you listen to me or anything i say. I have been in my own business for 5 years. internet marketing two years and making money. Also, one thing i learn’t is that everyone has a B/S Detector. YOu be the judge. Does the information make sense or not. Wondering how to go get 40 links for the (example only) Sony 505 HD – Super 50\" TV? Articles? Forums? Would love for you to spend more time on linking strategies. Thanks!

Thanks for your question. In the webinar i suggested getting good at one method of promotion first then moving on to other techniques. So for example if you are using forum marketing, then build links from multiple sites back to your blog or hub pages.
The key is to build 1-2 links from each forum only. The more ip diversity the better it will help your blog in the rankings

After reading this post, I just wanted to let everyone know this amazon strategy works with absolutely any autoblogging, autoposting, or content generation (WordPress, Blogger, etc.). All you have to do is enter the RSS feed you want to get the full content from into the generator at. I have tried WizardRSS with almost every autoblogging and autoposting software and it works for every single one of them.
